We partnered with the Human Trafficking Prevention Safe Harbor Program—Minnesota’s statewide response to sexual exploitation and trafficking of youth—for a 9-month strategic planning process grounded in equity, survivor wisdom, and collective care. Through community listening, focused facilitation, and survivor lead design, we supported the development of a multi-year strategic plan that strengthens racial and health equity, elevates youth and survivor voice, and prioritizes the well-being of the Safe Harbor network and workforce. The process engaged government partners, direct service providers, advocates, and Subject Matter Experts with Lived Experience to co-create a roadmap that reflects shared values and a commitment to lasting change.

Managed the development of a sabbatical movement for Black, Indigenous and Persons of Color (BIPOC) racial justice leaders. This 3-year initiative aims to shift the narrative of rest and help people see and feel that taking time to renew, reflect and rejuvenate is part of our birthright as human beings. Working closely with Nexus staff, consultants, and BIPOC community leaders.

Evaluation & Partnership Management

Provide partnership management development and evaluation administration between the Pohlad Family Foundation (PFF) and the Cultural Wellness Center (CWC), partners in implementing BLLEI, a program to offer leaders, healers, artists, or agents of change who are direct descendants of enslaved Africans a year of rest and rejuvenation. PFF and CWC desire to have a different partnership beyond the typical funder/grantee relationship.

Provided intermediate project management support in preparation for the launch of a two-year initiative aimed at transforming traditional approaches to public safety by actively confronting racial disparities to improve the wellbeing of Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC).

Lobby Day Event Management

Provided project management planning and day-of event support for UnRestrict Minnesota's Lobby Day in 2022. The Lobby Day was conducted fully online, with a "main stage" of speakers and a keynote address, and individual meeting rooms for constituents to meet with their legislators. Our role was both to organize the staff of the UnRestrict coalition and be the liaison to the company hosting the event online.
